As a capstone activity to the SALI Unit titled BODY WORKS, the 6th & 7th grade students dissected a pig's heart. This activity provided the students with a hands-on experience to see the heart and how it functions. |

 Dr. Scott - Walks with Avon Again!!!!
| Dr. Shirley Scott (our principal) will walk for a cause that affects millions of people each year. The Avon Walks for Breast Cancer are challenging and exciting events held in multiple US cities each year. Participants have the choice of walking a marathon or half-marathon. You can either walk half the marathon on the first day, then all walk a half-marathon the second day, camping overnight in the Wellness Village. All meals, snacks, and trail support are provided. This is Dr. Scott's 2nd year participating in such a event and oh the stories she has to share with you.
